INSTRUCTIONS (for socket-head screw mount)

  1. Remove the piston and driving blade as described in the instruction manual
  2. Open ring to access bolt and use a 3/16" Allen wrench & remove driving blade, making sure seat is clear of obstructions or debris.
  3. Discard block (A) or washer (B). Use only the new spring washer supplied with the replacement kit. It is very important that the conical shape of the washer (grooved side) points out (away from the piston).
  4. It is most IMPORTANT to use the new bolt and to tighten firmly.

IMPORTANT NOTE (all P240, P250 & P260)

Piston ring (P-522A or P-622A) is a wear part that should last over 1,000,000 cycles (about 200,000 sq.ft.) under normal use. Dirt or particles in the compressed air may lessen its life.

Excessive wear of the piston ring will result in occasional fasteners not set or skipped. This can be temporarily fixed with a small length of tape between the piston and the ring (never exceed one turn).

It is recommended to replace this part if the tool needs to be opened for servicing and has been in use for some time.
