R600 NAILER
Adjustment Procedure

The Primatech R600 nailer is designed to install engineered/laminated hardwood flooring from 1/4" to 9/16". It is very important to adjust the nailer to fit precisely the board profile. The R600 nailer is now supplied with 5 colored shims (1 white,1 black, 1 green and 2 blue). Older nailers were supplied with different set of shims; contact your distributor or Primatech to obtain a new set.

Instructions for selecting the shim set-up
  1. Measure X and Y of your hardwood board as precisely as possible.
  2. Refer to the chart below to get the shim and flap combination that match your X and Y measures.
  3. Install the shims between the plastic base and the bracket as shown. Tighten first the front screw, while applying vertical pressure.
  4. Keep unused shims for future jobs.
  5. Check the adjustment of the nailer: the gate/foot assembly should be as close as possible to the flooring, without touching it.

If your measurement X is not found in the chart, use the next smaller value.

If your measurement Y is not found in the chart, use the next larger value.
