 Primatech hardwood flooring nailers

Primatech has developed a full line of pneumatic and manual nailers to answer the need in the market for reliable tools for the DIY, rental, novice or professional floor installer.

Our line was specifically designed for virtually all types of tongue and groove hardwood floors, from 9/32" engineered wood to 33/32" solid wood.

Primatech has always showed a strong commitment to R&D since its debut 25 years ago. A new (patented) valve in 1989 powered the P200, the first pneumatic tool specifically designed for the installation of hardwood flooring. A completely redesigned valve and striking system (patented) was introduced in 2004 with the P240 pneumatic nailer. In 2007, the new modular engine (patent pending) was introduced with the P250 and Q550 nailers. Check our Primatechnology Update chart.

 Primatech hardwood flooring nails

Professional contractors have known for long that the nail down method saves time on labor and reduces overall material cost. Nails reduce material costs by eliminating adhesive cost and the use of solvents for cleanup. They save job time by eliminating adhesive set-up times and troweling. The naildown method allows traffic on the new floor immediately after installation.

Specifically designed for the application of hardwood flooring, Primatech offers a complete range of die-cut hardwood flooring nails. The sharp tip and edges cut through the wood - preventing tongue splitting. Primatech is the only manufacturer to offer you both the universal "L"-type head and also the standard "T"-type head - the choice is yours.

Primatech "L" and "T"-type nails will operate in Primatech nailing machines, manual and pneumatic, and also in all major brand nailing equipment manufactured for use with hardwood flooring nails. Our complete selection includes:

  • Regular L type nails: 2", 1-3/4" and 1-1/2"
  • T-type nails: 2" and 1-1/2"
  • 18GA L-type nails for thin solid floorings: 1-3/4", 1-1/2" and 1-1/4"
  • Also available in stainless steel for very special situations.
